Every principle on this site was paid for. This is the road that led here — in Joe's own words from Episode 001.
Watching his kids argue Jordan vs. Kobe vs. LeBron, Joe saw something that concerned him as a father: he couldn't control the examples his son's heroes set beyond the game. So he built something he could control — a sports publication interviewing athletes and coaches about their goals, their failures, their setbacks, and how they overcame them. Five years. Hundreds of interviews, from high schoolers who turned pro to Olympians.
Then Covid put the publication to bed. Lessons extracted, chapter closed — or so it seemed. “I wasn't putting this publication together for my son. As it turns out, I was putting it together for me. I just didn't know it at the time.”
August 2023: late on a Thursday night, Joe's wife woke him and asked for a divorce. Blindsided, he walked for hours in the dark, having an audible conversation with God. By October 11th it was final. His world was shattered — and he had to start all over, laying a new foundation for the rest of his life.
Weeks later his son Isaac asked a simple question that changed everything: “Dad, what is your game plan?” And then he knew: years of content designed to train a mind how to live — how to succeed during moments of difficulty — was exactly the blueprint he needed. One for his mind, not his marriage.

Joe has since remarried, and he's happy. His faith is a big part of his life, and he wouldn't change a thing about the past if it meant he wouldn't be where he is today.
“Right now I feel like the young David kneeling by the brook, selecting those five smooth stones for the Goliaths in my life that I'm gonna face.”
So here he is — reinventing himself, being reborn all over again, striving daily to become a newer, better version of himself. And tomorrow, he'll do it all over again. That's the Out Hustle Mentality. And this podcast is your seat beside him for all of it.
